Dream wedding for Bexhill couple

The Bexhill couple who had their wedding venue cancelled enjoyed a dream ceremony in Ninfield.

Martin and Caz Coomber held the medieval wedding they always hoped for at Country Blessings where owner Tas Cornwell performed their handfasting ceremony.

Tas said: "It was everything they had dreamed of.

"Many guests commented on how wonderful and different it was. Caz and Martin's friends came from all walks of life...everyone agreed how special and unique their day was."

One hundred guests enjoyed the celebrations which included a Hog Roast, re-enactment sword fights, archer, Punch and Judy and children's entertainment.

The newly-weds arrived in Ninfield in a horse and carriage and all the guests wore medieval costumes. A blessing was then performed in the decorated woodland with family and friends.

The feasting and re-enactment was followed by the burning of the Castle, lit with a flaming arrow by archer Terry Clarke, who runs Parkwood Archery from the same location.

Instead of wedding presents, the couple asked for donations to charities close to their hearts, so British Heart Foundation badges were purchased for men and Cancer Research UK Daffodil pins for all the female guests attending.
