Electrical fault closes PO

Bexhill's main Post Office closed again on Tuesday - the doors were shut to customers for the second time in seven days.

On the main door looking out to Devonshire Square was a notice which again blamed an electrical fault.

Customers were advised to go elsewhere for postal services and it was suggested they try Windmill Drive, Peartree Lane or Ninfield Road, or travel to Hastings and St Leonards.

The Post Office was not open again for business until Wednesday at 3pm.

A Post Office Ltd spokesman said: "We would like to apologise to customers for the temporary closure of the office.

"This was due to an ongoing electrical fault which we are assured is rectified now."
