Emmerson takes on a new role at Slindon College

SLINDON College has appointed a new chairman of governors, taking over from his colleague who held the position for nine years.

Michael Emmerson, who has recently retired as a senior partner at Chichester law firm Wannop and Fox, takes over the role from Keith Wilkins.

Mr Emmerson was educated at Bradfield College and the College of Law.

Married with two grown-up children, he is a member of the Institute of Linguists and a keen historian.

An accomplished cricketer playing at various Chichester clubs, he now enjoys golf in his leisure time.

He said "I am delighted to take on the responsibility of chairman of the governors, and I intend to help further Slindon's success and growing reputation as a leading independent school specialising in learning difficulties."
