Firefighters scale heights in Three Peaks Challenge

BEXHILL man Paul Vincent joined fellow firefighters in tackling the Three Peaks Challenge last week to raise more than £2,000 from sponsors in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Paul, (seen far left) a member of blue watch at West Norwood fire station in the London borough of Lambeth, and five colleagues scaled 4,419ft Ben Nevis, 3,309ft Scafell Pikle and 3,560ft Snowdon while travelling between Scotland, England and Wales.

Paul said: “We had just 24 hours in which to reach and conquer each mountain. We did it with three hours to spare, which earned us a silver medal and with money still rolling in, we anticipate having raised more than £2,000.”
