Garden centre chooses new '˜Charity of the Year'
Squire’s in Washington will support the Alzheimer’s Society through to July next year, and will raise awareness of the charity in the garden centre and through their marketing materials, as well as providing ongoing fundraising from events and collection boxes. All donations from the public will go directly to the charity.
The charity will also be invited to a special preview of Squire’s popular Christmas Circus this Winter.

Dementia can happen to anyone and there’s currently no cure. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and the number is set to rise to 1 million by 2021.
Sarah Squire, deputy chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres commented: “We are delighted to be supporting the Alzheimer’s Society. I know my colleagues at our Washington centre are looking forward to working with the team at the Alzheimer’s Society and supporting their wonderful work in the local community.”
