Glynde & Beddingham

GLYNDE GRAVITY GRAND PRIX: After last year's success of the first Reach Valley Gravity Grand Prix, the Parish council has applied for a road closure for this year's event, which hopefully will take place on Sunday September 11. Last year's event raised monies for Glynde Swimming Pool, the Glynde, Beddingham and Firle Memorial Parade and other village causes, hopefully they can benefit from the event this year. Information on entrance fee and rules will be available as soon as road closure is confirmed.

POWER SUPPLY: With the help of Glynde Estates the parish council is putting a power supply into the Glynde Recreation Ground so that it is easier for village events to take place there. The costs for the installation has come from the parish council, and donations from Glynde and Beddingham Flower Show and the Memorial Parade. Hopefully it will be all up and running for this year’s flower show on Saturday August 6.

EASTER EGG HUNT: The Trevor Arms is holding an Easter egg hunt tomorrow, Saturday, at 2pm, entry fee of £2 per child. Please do attend as the proceeds are to go to the Swimming Pool and Memorial Parade.
