Helping local hospice to be accessible

A BURGESS Hill man came to the rescue of a local hospice during the recent snow. Stephen Pitt is managing director of a long-established West Sussex company which specialises in landscape and groundcare machinery. including snow clearance equipment.

He loaned vital equipment to St Peter and St James Hospice at Chailey’ so they could keep the access to the hospice open during recent heavy snow and ice.

St Peter & St James Hospice is a registered charity that provides specialist care, love and support for those living with progressive, life limiting illnesses from East and West Sussex.

The hospice contacted Mr Pitt and Tracmaster to ensure it was prepared for snow.

In response the company offered to lend St Peter & St James a snow brush, which effectively clears a surface of snow making the terrain instantly safe for pedestrians and cars.
