Horsham man baring his soles to the town
A Horsham man is testing the barefoot-friendliness of the town after deciding not to wear shoes. Neil Davies, 54, from Manor Fields, a computer support engineer, decided to go barefoot outdoors after his chiropodist recommended he try going barefoot in the house and garden.
He said: “I love it. It just feels more natural now having done it for umpteen weeks.
“It goes back to childhood because your first steps were probably taken barefoot.”
He said reaction had been positive around town in pubs and supermarkets, and being barefoot made him more careful to avoid dangers on the floor like glass.
