Hunt for motorcycle thieves in Bexhill and Hastings

Motorcycle thieves in Bexhill and Hastings are being hunted with one teenager arrested but seven bikes are still missing.

A mixture of seven small and large motorbikes were stolen from two shops in Bexhill and Hastings on the nights of July 18 and 19.

They have been seen being ridden in Hastings, St Leonards and Bexhill over the past few weeks, according to police.

Six other bikes, stolen on the same nights, have already been recovered and an 18-year old man was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft.

After being interviewed, he was released on police bail until August 22, while enquiries continue.

The seven missing bikes are:

GV06USX - a Yamaha NXC 125

VU06MBY - a Kawisaki ER

GV12XPK – a white Honda Vision NSC110

HN52NBX – a yellow Susuki SV650

X217DPN – a black Suzuki SV650

GU64ZCX - a white Honda NSC 110

GY63VRN – a red Honda NSC

Sergeant Chris Varrall said: “If you see any of the bikes or know where they are, please contact us via [email protected] or call 101, quoting Operation Armley.”
