Hurst Green village voice

The Parish Council held one of its most interesting meetings last Tuesday.Several members of the public attended and visiting speakers were the Headmaster of Hurst Green school and Brenda Mason from the “Ageing Well” project.

The Headmaster, Mr. White, gave a presentation on his ideas for closer integration between school and village. The Chairman, Cllr. Browne, described his presentation as “the best thing that has been suggested in Hurst Green for years”, and it was received with applause from council members and the public.

The other matter concerned a pilot scheme presented by Miss Mason for more activities for older people in Hurst Green. “Ageing Well” is a government initiative which is being organised locally by Rother District.
