Sunday February 24 and 10.30am Morning Prayer in All Saints Parish Church.

Last Saturday the village hall was buzzing wit activity at the Table sale, the event was held to raise funds for the new sports pavilion. We managed to raise £220. It was a great team effort, special thanks to Pete, Stuart, Kim, Mags, Colin & Sylvia and David Mayne for their help in setting up, attending on the day and helping clear up at the end.

The next Spring Craft Fair will be on Saturday March 2 from 10 am to 3pm. Lots of locally made arts and crafts. If you would like to book a table please contact Sandra on 01424 814401.

Refreshment will be available on the day and we will also be holding an Easter Egg Raffle. There will be four prizes, one to be drawn each hour of the day. There will also be a selection of books for sale.

It is always a nice atmosphere, why not came and take a look, even if it’s for coffee and a chat. Plenty of free parking.

Great news. Icklesham Village Store is a permanent fixture as it has had full planning permission granted.

Karen and Dexter would like to say thanks to everyone in the village who has supported them over ythe last year. “Without the support from the villagers we would not have been able to achieve all that we have done. With your continued support we hope to make the shop a solid asset within the village for many years to come.”

There was one letter which did not support the planning application but three wich did as well as the full backing of Icklesham Parish Council, Highways and Environmental Health. Karen and Dexter also want to give a big thank you to Councillor Nick Warren for all his advice and help throughout the store’s first year.
