Inmatesdonate to charity

Inmates at Ford Open Prison have raised more than £200 for children with cancer.

The prisoners handed over a cheque for 231.51 to the CLIC Sargent charity.

The donation was the result of a charity evening held in the prison last winter. CLIC Sargent boasts it is the only charity which offers all-round care and support to the ten families a day who are told their child has cancer.

This caring takes place during treatment, in hospital and at home, in the community and after treatment.
