The Brighton and Hove station, which has been running for just under three years, welcomed special guests alongside its own female DJs for the takeover, and said it would use the day as a fundraising drive for the Brighton Women's Centre.

The takeover started at 9am and will continue until midnight, with Motown, reggae, disco and funk, house, new wave, pop and electronic offerings.
