Litttle Common Playgroup nearly new sale

This was the first time the playgroup - a registered charity - had organised such an event, but it proved to be so popular with locals that Chairperson of the group, Nicola Padretti, said: "We were very pleased with the turn-out and will definitely do it again in the future; it's a great way to raise funds for the playgroup."

In addition to the many children's items, a variety of delicious home-made cakes were available and refreshments were served.

A little over 116 was raised which Nicola said will go towards buying new equipment for the playgroup, although the committee have yet to decide what this will be as they like to buy things that are educational as well as fun.

She said: "Last year we bought an art trolley and a wormery to help teach the children about recycling, which they really enjoyed."
