Love at first sight for platinum pair

Myrtle and Stanley Pryor had known each other for only six weeks when they were married at All Saints Parish Church in Leyton on April 6, 1946.
At the time, Stanley was the youngest Staff Sergeant in the British Army. His father was the manager of The Magnet Laundry in East London and Myrtle Blundell was one of the people who worked there.

Hide AdIt was love at first sight for Stanley and Myrtle and the happy couple quickly planned their marriage.
The couple spent 33 years living in London before moving to Polegate in East Sussex, where they stayed for 27 years.
Myrtle, 90, and Stanley, 89, now live in Cudlow Avenue, Rustington, and have been there for ten years.
They have three daughters, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Hide AdThey celebrated their platinum wedding with a party at their granddaughter’s nearby home, along with members of the family, friends and neighbours.
