Councillor Matthew Lock, Lead Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment, said: 'Now that the consultation has finished, I have agreed this extended timetable so that we may analyse the responses and develop a scheme that takes everyone's view into consideration.

'It is important that we take the time to find the solution that residents and businesses want for parking in the town.

'We wish to work with them to develop a scheme that will work effectively and be beneficial for traders, residents and visitors.
