Murder victim named - man charged

POLICE have named the man found dead at his flat in Worthing earlier this week.

David Brown Wilson, 50, was discovered just after midnight on Wednesday, in a flat in St Elmo Road.

A 27-year-old man has now been charged with murder and will appear before magistrates.

Police said a post mortem revealed Mr Brown Wilson died after a "serious assault".

Three other men were arrested following the victim's death - a 43 year old, who has been released on police bail, and a 36 and 50 year old, who have been released without charge.

On Wednesday, neighbours could be seen looking out of their windows as police carried out a search of the front garden at the flats.

Two police vans were parked outside and a police community support officer was on duty standing outside the front door.
