Ninfield Village Voice - December 5

THE police meeting meeting held on November 25 was chaired by Sgt Dan Russell assisted by PCSOs Maureen Baker and Sam Kemp.

It was attended by residents of Ninfield and Hooe. The main purpose was to set up a panel who would meet with a police representative every quarter. There was much discussion on various matters of concern to both villages. Sgt Russell explained an increase in police numbers is anticipated by the recruitment of 20 officers for East Sussex. It is planned the panel will consist of six or seven volunteers and the next meeting will be in March 2009. It is possible more information will be available from our Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator on 01424893160.

CHURCH Christmas Fayre: The Reading Room looked very festive, the welcome was warm, all the goods were enticing and the beastly outdoor weather immediately forgotten. Father Christmas managed to arrive on time much to the delight of the many children keen to see him. The Rector thanked everyone on the Social Committee for their hard work and congratulated them all on the success of the moming. He also appreciated all those people and families who supported the event.
