Open gardens in Little Common

If you like gardens you'll love this - the opportunity to look around gardens in Little Common which are open to the public to raise money for St Mark's church Raise The Roof.

The hours of visiting next Saturday June 6 will be from 11-4pm.

Fundraising Coordinator Wendy Boorman said: " As you can see the hall is now progressing well but we do still need funds to fit it out when finished and landscape the exterior.

"There will be nine gardens open with something different in each.

"We suggest people wander of drive round the village between 11am and 4pm and view the open gardens and sample the gastronomic delights...Light lunch, strawberries and cream,cream teas and much more.

"There are lawn games for children and a plant and garden products sale which ranges from plant labels to colourful tubtrugs. The programmes are on sale in the Ark (opposite the post office) for 4 in advance or from the gardens on the day at 5 this allows entry to all gardens.

The gardens open are 8 Herbrand Walk, 1a The Broadwalk, Peach Cottage, The Twitten, The Ark, The Twitten, 3 Green lane, 11 Magpie Close, 294 Turkey Road, 7 Bushy Croft and 18 Courthope Drive.
