Open meeting will be held by businesses

A BOGNOR Regis business group has won an award for generating more than £170,000 of work for its members.

The town’s Midas branch of the BNI network achieved second place among the 30 chapters, or branches, in the county for its work in just six months.

Chapter director Emma Bailey said: “On average, each week we pass 40-plus qualified referrals to our members.

“That’s not cold leads. That’s a warmed up referral that turns into real business.”

The chapter’s 28 businesses are holding an open meeting next week to enable others to find out about their activities.

The event will take place from 6.45am-8.30am on Wednesday at Bognor Regis Golf Club on Downview Road in Felpham.

It includes breakfast and the cost is £5.

Mrs Bailey said the success of the chapter showed how hard work, dedication and teamwork could pay off in the current economic climate.

“Businesses are having to be ever more creative and adaptable in order to move with constantly increasing shifts of fortune,” she said.

The chapter’s members range from an accountant to a vintage-style ice cream seller.

Only one person in each trade or profession is allowed to join.

Any business people who would like to attend should contact Mrs Bailey on 07930 332286 or [email protected] by Monday to book a place.
