This year’s walk will take place on Saturday 16 May 2015, with four mile and 10 mile routes taking in Sovereign Harbour and the seafront

This will be the sixth year we have run this event and last year we had 800 ladies from across the county walking to raise vital funds for Chestnut Tree. The atmosphere on the night was buzzing and the dedication of the walkers was amazing. We are hoping that even more ladies will join us this year and help us make every day count for every child being cared for by Chestnut Tree in East Sussex.

The event really does make a difference to us. We receive less than 8% of our funding from central government so we rely on fundraising events such as Night to Remember in order to continue offering care to families in East Sussex. Over the past five years 3,200 ladies have pledged a collective £383,000 in sponsorship from the event, and hopes are high that this year will boost that total.

As part of our preparation for this year’s Night to Remember we have been chatting with Jo Gill and Danny Evennett, two walkers who started last year’s event on their own but got talking along the route and are now firm friends. They described their experience as ‘amazing’ and ‘fun’ and are both keen to take part in this year’s walk.

If you would like to join them in raising vital funds for your local children’s hospice then registration for the event closes on Monday 4 May 2015. There is also a discounted early-bird entry fee of £15 for those registering before Sunday 15 March. For more information visit nighttoremember.org.uk/cth.
