Christ’s Hospital student goes behind the scenes with Michelin starred chef

Coralie Strong, Year 13 pupil at Christ’s Hospital had the opportunity to get a true idea of what life as a chef in an award winning kitchen is really like.

On Saturday 30 November Coralie became the newest member of the team at South Lodge when she joined Matt Gillan, the Michelin starred chef who heads up The Pass restaurant for the day.

During the day Coralie was able to learn all the tricks of the trade whilst assisting with the preparation of the lunch and dinner service.

When asked how her day had gone, Coralie said: “A unique experience, definitely not for the faint hearted! I have had such a fantastic time and cannot thank Matt and his team enough for a truly amazing day.”
