DJ ‘Diddy’ David Hamilton set to open summer show in Rudgwick

The showground is open from 1.00-5.00pm offering a fantastic afternoon of fun for all ages. Local celebrity and legendary DJ, radio and TV presenter, “Diddy” David Hamilton will open the show at 1.50 after the first Punch & Judy Show.

The craft and trade stalls will include vintage “up-cycling”, gifts, cards, woodwork, bags, books, cosmetics, garden furniture, local honey and cider, plants, bric-a-brac and home produce. There will also be fun and games for all the family including Punch and Judy, 9-pin skittles, egg throwing, tug-of-war, tombola and a coconut shie, and children’s races.

The Crawley Millennium Concert Band will be playing songs from the shows and to mark the 70th anniversary of the first show, music from the 1940s.

The competition marquee opens to the public at 2pm following the judging, showing all the competition displays including flowers, fruit and vegetables, art and children’s categories. Refreshments include a tea tent with delicious homemade cakes, ice cream, hot dogs/burgers and a beer/wine and soft drinks tent.

The Companion Dog Show will be run by the Horsham and District Canine Society with a wide variety of classes.

This will be a very special family day and all are most welcome. Entry price is £2 a car. The showground at Sansomes Field, Furzen Lane, Ellens Green RH12 3AR will be open from 1.00pm– 5.00pm.
