Do you have to publicise Jane Wood and that café?

CAN anyone tell me why barely a week passes when the Littlehampton Gazette does not give prominence, and therefore free publicity, to Jane Wood and the East Beach Café somewhere in its pages?

Surely we are not that short of local news of interest.

Trevor Smith,

Cove Road,

Rustington

Editor's note: I can tell you why we run such stories from time to time, Mr Smith.

It's because our readers are interested when a local business wins regional and national awards, or submits planning applications which are highly significant and sometimes controversial. It's not free publicity, it's news.

And far from being deprived of local news, our readers are constantly telling us how much there is in the Gazette each week.
