I am pretty sure she knew that she had to travel to Scotland to achieve this amazing feat.

Not so Jack Duggan who wrote the article. He seems to think Ben Nevis is in England!

For his information, and I expect quite a few others, the highest mountain in England is Scafell Pike, coming in at 978 metres above sea level, as opposed to Ben Nevis ,in Western Scotland, which reaches 1,343 metres.

As a Scot who sadly could not vote in last year’s referendum, I despair at this apparent ignorance.

I would have definitely voted to keep the Union of our four countries, however, I can understand why those Scots who wanted devolution believe they often get ‘side-lined’.

Even the president of the USA refers to the ‘Queen of England. ‘ She is half Scottish !
