It helps to know you're not alone

THANK YOU to the lovely lady who replied to my letter, I was very touched (Gazette, October 30).

It was wonderful to realise that it has helped at least one person to feel less alone.

Due to the debilitating effects that hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism can cause, it is very easy to feel no one understands, become isolated and lonely.

As explained in the letter, many are not fortunate to have understanding families. Our symptoms are less obvious, but just as hard to live with. I have yet to meet a GP who is sympathetic and yet they are supposed to understand the condition!

This has led me to supply an email address for any sufferers in the Littlehampton area who may wish to have a chat, an excuse to vent or just a sympathetic ear.

The new email address is [email protected].

Should anyone wish to contact me, please feel free.

Belinda Harding,

East Ham Road,

Littlehampton
