There were many children organisations present at the event; Cubs, Scouts and Naval Cadets, who all managed to fly flags that showed respected to the armed services.

I was, however, disgusted to see that the Air Corp flag flying from their tent was moth eaten, and had holes in it.

I am stunned that the Arun Valley unit felt that this flag was suitable for display, especially on a day that is all about respecting and supporting our armed services.

Hopefully, the leaders of the Air Corp will replace their tatty flag and, next year, fly a flag that reflects the smartness of the cadets’ uniform.
