LETTER: Who will pay for £400m project?
Regarding Horsham MP Francis Maude’s recent column and ‘£400m new business for British farmers’.
While this objective is certainly a laudable one, has any analysis been done on whether it will create more bureaucracy? On how much it will cost? Or on who will pay for it?
In the wake of Mr Clegg’s dynamic initiative on free school lunches - crowd-pleasing headlines, no background research or practical thought - it is clear that this sort of Everyone’s A Winner initiative needs to be approached with great care.
