Man of the people
WE WOULD like to express our heartfelt thanks to an extraordinary man of the people, Nick Wiltshire, who, following Thursday’s vote, is no longer to be our councillor.
Nick championed so much within Beach ward, tackling often unsavoury causes. His was an old-fashioned approach, based on caring about constituents and not their votes. We benefited hugely from this. He, sadly, has not.
Nick was a thorn in the side of those who thrive on complacency. He had a humble approach that often belied his tenacity. We are sure, and hope, given his passion, he will continue to be a champion for the community.
Thank you, Nick. You will be a hard act to follow.
