Thanks to the bonfire society
May I make a public thank you through your newspaper. Our bonfire celebrations this year faced a few challenges: the sodden recreation ground preventing public access, the trains south not running - these were just two challenges.
However, I would like to congratulate everyone whose hard work made the evening such a great success.
The firework display was one of the best ever and really stunned the large crowd of appreciative onlookers.
The Bonfire Society work really hard right through the year to achieve this rather wonderful Sussex tradition.
