We can stop Paul and buy one on the prom after all

I HAVE received confirmation that Mr Paul Fuller is going to be allowed to trade on Littlehampton promenade with his ice cream trike (Gazette story, March 13).

Mr Fuller is to be given a trial concession along the promenade, with which he is very pleased.

I understand he has accepted and was due to sign the necessary paperwork this week.

I am so pleased that common sense has prevailed and I am delighted to see that such a unique business is going to be given the chance to operate.

I would also like to say thank you to Colin Rogers, director of services at Arun District Council, for reversing the initial decision refusing Mr Fuller a licence.

Finally, I would like to wish Mr Fuller all the best for the future and I hope to see him on the promenade trading soon.

Ian Buckland, Arun and town councillor, Littlehampton River ward, Lizard Head, Littlehampton
