Put up or shut up
I WONDER whether this area can afford election candidates Hitchins, Edwards, Nash and Cosgrove after their recent silly display in the letters pages.
All they seem to be concerned about is their own self-importance, which they try to puff up by petty point-scoring against Hugh Coster and the Civic Society.
At least the Civic Society seem to propose realistic ideas that can genuinely be carried out straight away, and you can tell that the public agree with this by the large numbers of people signing their free parking petition and pledge.
I would say to them: put up and grow up – or shut up.
Produce some positive workable ideas and work together with the Civic Society for the good of the town.
