Parents' workshop to keep children safe from watching pornography

Parents' have been invited to a workshop in Burgess Hill to help keep their children safe from watching pornography while on their phones and tablets.

St Andrews Church in Junction Road is holding the workshop, which is run by the Christian project, Naked Truth on Saturday, March 4.

The educational workshop is designed for parents with primary and secondary school children and will give them practical tips for different ages and stages.

A spokesman from St Andrews Church said: “Technology is changing fast and parents can worry if their children are safe when they are using their smart phones, tablets and laptops.”

In the last 24 months Naked Truth has worked directly with more than 7,500 young people through schools and young groups and delivered workshops to around 1,000 parents, the spokesman said.

The workshop will run twice from 10am to 12 noon and from 2pm to 4pm and will cost £5.

Parents’ will also be given a ‘takeaway parents pack’.
