Erin Sprules, 15, has been swimming since she was four and felt her sport was the best way to help raise money for the trip of a lifetime. She was one of seven Scouts and two Scout leaders chosen for the visit in the summer of 2023. Erin said: "I just love swimming whenever and wherever I can. I also help on Sunday mornings with the teaching of younger swimmers.

"I have been selected to represent my Scout group at the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea. I went through a rigorous selection process of camps and interviews to be selected for the experience of a lifetime and will form part of the overall UK contingent of nearly 4,000 Explorer Scouts. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of the Global Scouting Community, with more than 40,000 Scouts from 150 countries taking part."

The World Scout Jamboree is a World Organisation of the Scout Movement event which happens every four years, each time hosted by a different country. Each Scout selected is aiming to raise £4,000 to cover not only their own travel expenses but to support Scouts from less fortunate countries.
