Bexhill man found dead by police

Police are investigating the sudden death of a man at an address in Bexhill.

Officers were called to Sea Road at 9.37am on Wednesday (June 24) where sadly, the body of a 22-year-old man was found inside a property.

Police said officers believe the victim was involved in an altercation at an address in Western Road, Bexhill, on Wednesday morning and detectives are seeking to determine if this incident contributed to the man’s death.

The cause of death remains under investigation at this stage, and anyone with any information is urged to report it online or call 101 quoting Operation Elmhurst.

Police added that this is being treated as an isolated incident and four men aged 30, 36, 41 and 48 and a 33-year-old woman have been arrested.

They remain in police custody at this time.
