Haywards Heath Town Council has given a special award to the Friends of Ashenground and Bolnore Woods.
The group received a certificate from councillor Sandy Ellis, chairman of Haywards Heath in Bloom, recognising their dedication to taking care of the nature reserve.
Patrick Burke, speaking for FoABW, said: “The volunteers were delighted to receive this award as appreciation for all their hard work.”
He said: “We support the landowner, Mid Sussex District Council, mowing the wildflower meadows and woodland buffers, coppicing trees, maintaining the paths and litter picking.”
