Hastings Pride was cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, with restrictions on social events due to end in June, this year’s Hastings Pride is planned for August 29, 2021, ‘as long as it feels safe’, the organisers confirmed.

Announcing the news on Facebook, the organisers of Hastings Pride said: “Hello! Hastings Pride would like to bring you some good news - we’re back.

“As a Pride that happens later in the season, we feel confident that we can bring a brilliant, colourful community pride on Sunday August 29th 2021, as long as it feels safe.

“We cannot wait to march, dance and celebrate, and to come together stronger than ever.

“For this to happen we will need your help. It will be all hands on deck to get Hastings Pride back on this year, but we are well up for the challenge and so excited to bring you the best one ever.”
