Petworth craftsmen chosen for Twickenham project

WEST Sussex craftsmen have set the benchmark for Twickenham.The West Car Park has been given a makeover from local firms thanks to outgoing Rugby Football Union (RFU) president and East Preston resident Bob Rogers.

Special London plane trees have been planted around the perimeter '“ complete with bespoke handcrafted octagonal tree-seats.

Twenty-two have so far been installed and more are planned later in the year.

Two of the benches feature hand-engraved plaques for past presidents and privilege members. These take pride of place in front of the stadium's main Lion Gate.
