Play improvements for Pebsham

A CHILDREN'S play park in Pebsham is to be refurbished following requests by residents.

Ward councillor Charles Clark has been in discussion with officers to undertake a refurbishment of equipment at the Seabourne Road park in the next financial year.

Cllr Clark said: "Park development officer Rebecca Owen and myself will be undertaking consultation surveys with local residents and school children to seek guidance on what they would like to see provided in the refurbished park; this will include ideas of layout, design and types of play equipment."

Cllr Clark added the informal play area at the end of Singleton Walk has been upgraded, new football posts installed and waste bins have been fitted.

He said he will be working with officers and Pebsham residents in the coming months to improve more play facilities - highlighted as a key area for improvement in the Local Action Plan.

He added: "I would also like to thank Ernie Rodgers of East Sussex County Council Highways Department for increasing the number of dropped kerbs in Pebsham for wheelchair users."
