Officers have been searching and making inquiries to try to trace King since then.

King has links to Hailsham, Polegate and Eastbourne but could be elsewhere in the county or may have left Sussex.

Inspector Tony Wakefield said: “We are determined to catch and arrest King. There is no evidence that he has committed further crimes since he left Ford or is any threat to the public but we need to recapture him so that he serves the remainder of his sentence.

“We are grateful to the media and the public for any help and information they give us.”
