Police try to trace taxi driver after child hurt

POLICE this week enlisted the public's help in trying to trace a taxi driver following an incident in which a child received a cut to the head.

PC Alan Green of the Bexhill Neighbourhood Policing Team said that at about 12.15pm last Friday a woman with two children aged two and three was crossing Buckhurst Place from north to south near the taxi rank outside Sainsbury's store. The younger child was in a pushchair.

"A silver Peugeot taxi reversing from the last space on the rank collided with pedestrians, causing minor injury to one child.
