The Conservatives have made their pitch for votes at this week’s Chichester District Council election.

A spokesperson for the party said: “Why vote for change when Conservative Controlled District Council has been named as one of the best performing Councils in the Country for the following reasons: good management of finances with reserves, a low level of council tax, supporting residents with the cost of living, one of the best support packages in the country, including up to 100 per cent council tax reduction, fighting unwanted development by the approval of the local plan, over 1,000 less houses than the Government target, many areas now have zero numbers, while others have a dramatic fall in numbers. “Without a local plan, speculative development cannot be stopped. Recycling target has hit 47 per cent in Chichester district higher than the national average.

Chichester District Council has no control over sewerage or potholes, we strongly lobby and encourage Southern Water and WSCC Highways to fix the problems we are all facing at present.
