Redeeming Our Communities (ROC) has announced that it has cut its popular community café bus.

A spokesman for the charity said: “The ROC community café bus was a great success for over two years before, sadly, the bus became a financial challenge to keep running.”

The bus used to visit a range of roads across the area, staying for a couple of hours, providing a safe place for residents to chat, meet new neighbours and make new friends.

The spokesman added: “We won’t see the bus again because this project has come to an end but, when we look back at the number of contacts made around our neighbourhoods, we thank God for enabling us to meet so many people and make a difference in their lives in terms of meeting new people.”
