Red Cross Coffee Morning

"A NICE sunny day always ensures a good turn-out", so says Rosemary Barry, centre organiser at the Red Cross's Thalia House centre on London Road.

Rosemary was speaking on Saturday after a successful Coffee Morning at the centre raised just over 142 for Red Cross funds.

A popular monthly event with local people, which, along with refreshing cups of tea or coffee has a raffle, a tombola, and stalls selling a variety of goods including videos, books, toys, bric a brac, clothes and home-made cakes and preserves.

Rosemary gave thanks to all the people who kindly donate goods, to the hard working volunteers who help and support the coffee mornings and said she was, "very happy" with the amount raised.
