Rye Jazz Festival hasannounced more acts

New announcements are being made on a regular basis for the Rye International Jazz and Blues Festival which takes place over the forthcoming August Bank Holiday Weekend.

New editions to the already impressive list of headline acts this year include the mesmerising and multi-talented singer Kitty LaRoar who will be performing with her band The Lucky Victims at The George in Rye jazz club on Saturday August 23.

Jazz diva Kitty and her amazing band are making big waves on the London jazz scene and pull no punches when it comes to their live performances.

She promises to take people on a hip swinging journey through the archives of jazz classics all delivered in her own irrepressible unique style.

Award winning Julia Biel headlines the festival on Friday August 22 and is a shining beacon in the world of fresh exciting contemporary jazz.

A multi-talented singer, songwriter and pianist, she is already making a massive impact not just in the UK but overseas.

The Fat Tuesday 2nd Line Modern and edgy New Orleans Marching Band will be performing throughout Rye on Saturday August 23.

They boast an impressive 9 piece jazzy outfit of horns which includes trumpets, saxophones, tuba, and trombone that will set the tone for a great party atmosphere at the festival.

There are major music performances taking place at the festival outdoor stage at The Ypres Castle Inn where you can hear the best blues, jazz, funk and swing over the festival weekend.
