Santa prepares special invitations

FATHER Christmas has prepared special invitations to send to children as St Mary's Wrestwood Children's Trust preparesfor the school's bumper fund-raising event.

Preparations are well underway for the Christmas fair at St Mary's in Wrestwood Road on Saturday, November 29, from 12 noon to 3pm.

The fair is one of the major fundraising events for the special needs school and college and is always highly popular and successful.

The fair includes a successful 50-prize grand draw, which is drawn on the day. The first prize is 100. Second prize is a luxury Christmas Hamper.

Stalls will include a chocolate tombola, bottles, face paints, cakes, games, refreshments and much more.

Once again, one of the main attractions will be Santa's Grotto.

Father Christmas has prepared special invitations to send out to children before the event, inviting them to visit him at the fair. These invitations will include the opportunity to make something on the Christmas craft table, for example a bag of reindeer food or magic dust to show Santa and his reindeer the way to their house, followed by a visit to Santa in his grotto where they will receive a present and have their photograph taken.

The photograph will then be presented in a special certificate.

In order to help Father Christmas prepare to welcome his visitors, places will need to be booked. The cost for this special invitation package is 5.95.

A spokesman for the school's Father Christmas Admin Department said: "If you would like your son / daughter to receive one of these personal invitations, please send their name, age, address where invite should be sent and details of interests to help Santa when he goes shopping."

The closing date is Tuesday, November 25 and invitations will be sent out during the week leading up to the fair.

Father Christmas will still be available on the day for those who do not wish to take advantage of the special package.
