Snow joke for St Mary's fair

It was all systems go for St Mary's Christmas fair on Saturday - but then it snowed.

The decision was made to cancel the event but this popular and successful fundraiser has now been rescheduled for Saturday January 22.

Organiser Sue Munn commented: “Even though Christmas will have passed, the fair in January will still have a magical Christmas feel to it, with the opportunity to win some super hampers, lots of chocolates and bottles on the tombolas, as well as raffles, refreshments, cakes and lots more.

“We hope that everyone who would have come along to support the fair will accept our apologies for cancelling, however, the weather was the deciding factor and we do hope to see everyone at the January fair.

“Please keep a look out in the New Year, for adverts in the local papers and the signs outside St Mary’s which will give further details.”
