Sparks in the Park set to return to Horsham

Horsham park is braced for the return of the popular Sparks in the Park festival this afternoon (July 12).

The afternoon will see a whole host of family activities from tea parties and different sporting activities to a fun fair and live music and performances.

The emergency services will be in the park demonstrating different equipment used to tackle emergency incidents along with Horsham’s Skate Jam and a special appearance from Paddington Bear.

The town is also set to become a Wonderland with this years theme based around Lewis Carroll’s beloved children’s novel Alice in Wonderland.

There will be a fancy dress competition with the best dressed characters picking up prizes before a parade later in the afternoon.

Food will also be available with food courts at either end of the park along with the cakes and baked goods on sale from the Great Horsham Bake Off.

The festivities will be kicking off at 12pm with chairman of Horsham District Council Tricia Youtan and vice chairman Christian Mitchell opening the spectacular.
