Talk on Islam raises £3,430
More than 100 people gathered in Northiam to hear a lecture entitled ‘Islam Today: A Personal View’ given by Pestalozzi Council Member Penelope Hamilton. She lived in Saudi Arabia for many years. The lecture reflected her personal view of the problems facing Islam and the West today.
Penelope’s speech provided a valuable insight, and her talk offered the opportunity to counteract some common misbeliefs. Susan Walton, CEO of Pestalozzi, said “It was the most accessible lecture I have ever heard on this complex subject; it resonated with me particularly as Pestalozzi is very much about embracing difference and diversity.” All proceeds to Pestalozzi Trust.
