Car blaze and kitchen fire attended by Bognor Regis and Chichester crews

FIREFIGHTERS were called to incidents across the Observer area yesterday evening (Tuesday, February 5).

Shortly after 6.30pm, a crew from Bognor Regis was called to a cottage in Wandleys Lane, Walberton, to extinguish a chimney fire.

Crews were at the scene for around 40 minutes.

At 7.40pm, crews from Chichester and Bognor Regis were called to a small kitchen fire at a flat in St Agnes Place, Chichester.

The fire started in the toaster. Crews were at the scene for just under 20 minutes.

Shortly after 8.40pm, a crew from Chichester was called to Selsey Road, Donnington, where a car was on fire outside a pub.

Firefighters said the blaze, which destroyed the car, was an accident.

They were at the scene for around 35 minutes.
